Smart Tech Systems was approached by a large commercial dairy farm in Somerset seeking a reliable way to monitor and manage vehicle movement across their busy site. With regular deliveries, staff, contractors & visitors coming and going throughout the day, the client required a smart traffic monitoring solution (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) to enhance site security, streamline operations and maintain accurate access records.

Our Solution:

Following an on-site survey and consultation with the client, we designed and installed an advanced ANPR camera system at the property’s entry and exit point. The system was configured to automatically log the number plates of all vehicles entering and leaving the premises, along with additional details such as vehicle make, model and colour. This provides the farm with full visibility of traffic flow and a comprehensive historical record for traceability.

The system also features smart notifications for blacklisted vehicles. For example, if a flagged vehicle enters the site, an instant alert is triggered and sent to the farm’s management team, ensuring they are immediately informed of any unauthorised access.
