Barton St David – Wireless Network

A homeowner approached us seeking a robust and reliable wireless network solution for their property, which also included an Airbnb rental. The existing WiFi struggled to provide full coverage, resulting in weak signals in key areas, frustrating both the homeowners and their guests.

Unifi Ubiquiti wireless access point (WAP)

To ensure seamless connectivity throughout the property, we designed and installed a fully integrated wireless access point (WAP) system. The system comprised of Unifi access points in the AirBnB cottages and access points to the property gym. All access points were cabled back to the cloud gateway to provide unified access. The guest network was segregated from the property network to provide security and the ability to limit the network speeds for guests staying in the accommodation.

  • Separate Networks: A dedicated guest network was set up for the Airbnb to provide secure internet access without compromising the homeowner’s private data.

  • High-Speed Connectivity: The system was optimized to support multiple devices streaming, gaming, and remote working without lag or dropouts.

  • Remote Management: The system can be administered remotely allowing us or the owner to update key settings at any given time.

  • Future-Proofing: The setup was scalable, allowing for easy expansion or upgrades as needed.
